Yoga has been the one staple in my exercise life. It has been with me through the stress of college; a new career; marriage; the birth of three children; one herniated disc; two across-the-country moves and now, as I begin launching children and prepare for my next stage of life. I enjoy the physical benefits, no doubt. But the reason yoga has stayed part of my life, when
other exercise routines have faded, is the mental impact. It helps me calm the torrent of thoughts and creative ideas that are constantly flowing through my mind. It makes me a better partner and parent. It helps me to connect to my best self. And that’s just the stuff that effects me. I’ve used my yoga knowledge to help several family members with various things including arthritis, fibromyalgia and sports injury.
